    How fast and how far the technology goes remains to be seen. It's still incredible what has already been achieved.

    This reminds me of a show I saw on the Discovery Channel (I think) a while back where they showed a blind woman's brain hooked up to a computer and a camera that let her see, albeit really fuzzily. Amazing.

    I think there are a lot of applications. If the right nerve or sensory location in the brain can be connected, you would think any number of issues could be resolved.

    I guess there is always the risk of building super humans with technology like this.
